The Public House recently opened and the buzz has been positive. Get in early if you want a table and enjoy good food at very reasonable prices. The owners were shooting for a comfortable atmosphere and I think they hit the mark. It was relaxed and even with a full house, it seemed as if everyone was among friends :)

Lamb Meatballs in Green Curry
Weekend project. It was a little sloppy but the next one will be nice and neat with a bit of decorating too.
Seared tuna belly. A friend caught a 93 lb yellowfin and gave me a few nice cuts. I tossed together a quick blackening seasoning and pan-fried the belly and grilled the rest. What you see in the photo would just melt in your mouth. Delicious!

Todd Jurich’s 21st Century Burger Bar @ Rudee’s Inlet. I’ll be honest and say I was underwhelmed with the service and the food (we had to ask for another menu after waiting about 5 minutes.) I went with a friend on that trip, I told my wife we’ll try it together in a few months, after they get their legs under them.
